Vision

Let me start by saying my goal here is and always will be to help those in search of more and connect you with good quality information. I have and continue to scour the web in search of information that inspires me or helps reinforce what I have learned. Every now and then something even sparks and challenges me mentally. If you thirst for more and are tired of living a pathetic or just average life then you need to read the excerpt below which I found on Vic Johnson's site. Read this with an open mind and really contemplate the meaning of vision.

The ancient writer tells us in Proverbs that “Without a vision, the people perish.” And Thoreau told us that “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.” No doubt because the masses are without a vision for their lives.

What is your vision for your future, your ideal life? Is it written down? Do you review it and think about it often? Have you “enthroned” it in your heart? Is your life organized around goals and objectives that will ensure your vision is reached?

Wallace D. Wattles, wrote “There is no labor from which most people shrink as they do from that of sustained and consecutive thought; it is the hardest work in the world.” And yet it is the “sustained and consecutive thought” about our vision that is the first and primary labor of achievement.

Thoreau also wrote one of my most favorite passages of all time. And it gives us the best reason there is to stop what you’re doing today and identify the vision for your life. “If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”

We are what we think and you have probably been thinking about the new you. Consider the passage above “sustained and consecutive thought”. Now consider your future in every possible detail. Think of this future with every possible emotion you can place in your vision.

How will it feel, taste, smell, sound? I know it can be difficult to stick to this especially just reading a short blog. But it’s your future why not create you own vision? Create your vision with as much detail, emotion and sensory feelings as you can.

Listen, thinking is difficult yet powerful work. Let me rephrase that, determined and focused thinking, is difficult work that pays big.

Now ask yourself how important is your vision of the future?

Trust

There is a magic in the word trust. Just by saying or thinking the word we are left with many emotions. I have found trust can vary depending on the subject we are speaking of. Ask me if I trust my wife or my children or my closest friends and I will have a very distinct and emotion of assurance. Ask me if I trust myself and I will begin reaching into my mind.

It really depends now doesn’t it. Really think about this for a moment and ask yourself. Do I trust you? Not, Do you trust me? I am asking you to ask a question of yourself here. Take a good look in the mirror actually look deep into your own eyes. Really sit there and look at yourself as though you wanted to look into your own soul.

Now say in you head or even better out loud “Do I trust you?”

Well do you? Do you trust you? Will you keep your promises you made for the New Year? Will you trust those inward feelings when they compel you to move forward? Those crazy voices which say leap this is your chance. Go for it, you can’t win and you can’t fail if you don’t try. Just do it, ask her out on a date! Take a chance this time and buy that car. Quit your job. Leave that bum once and for all. Put down the beer and spend some time working towards your goals! Buy that book! Throw away that junk and buy something worthy of you! Tell that boss you deserve a raise and here is exactly why.

Now do you really trust yourself? Funny isn’t it? I can ask you if you trust your spouse, your mother or father, your friends and for each one you will more than likely come up with a quick “Yes” or “No” response. I bet you even had a quick “Yes” or “No” for the do you trust yourself question.

Do you still feel the same about your earlier response? Are you living the life of bliss we all deserve? Will you look at yourself and what you want differently today than you did yesterday?

Regardless of what has happened or you think will happen in the future what could you do NOW that will move you toward your deepest desire? Isn’t there something you know you want to do so deeply that if you did it you would feel alive?

We are approaching a New Year, what are going to do this year that will make your mark. How are you going to impact the world in such a way that people are glad they know you? What things could you finally do, that would fill your heart with such passion that you just know that this is the moment to finally take the leap?

If you will ask yourself these questions today and allow yourself to actually come up with some answers you may just find your life’s passion. My hope is that you live the life you deserve and I would like to recommend a movie which just may help you see you truly deserve more.

Lets Get Started

I found this little movie searching the web one day looking for inspiration or ideas to help share with others what it takes to win. If you believe you deserve more, but feel you are just one step away from the goal you must watch this. If you are in fear that you will never reach your goal or haven’t even set goals then this may not be for you. Even worse if you are part of the flock that think mediocrity is just fine then you most definitely are lost have stumbled into the wrong blog and will find no value here or by watching the movie below.

Success is a choice and those that chose success need a kick in the pants every now and then to keep them moving. I find this is the perfect kick I need every now and then.
